Terms and Conditions
We understand that you may need to cancel your place or may not be able to attend for a variety of reasons, as a small business, we clearly outline our terms and conditions regarding refunds and cancellations because fees include tuition, training manuals, materials, assessment and certification. We also require a minimum number of students for our courses to go ahead so cancellations can have a big impact on all taking part. We hope that the following terms and conditions give you a clear understanding of our policy and why we implement it at all times.
How to book a course
- To secure a place on any of our training courses simply complete and submit our on-line booking form and follow the payment instructions on the website. Courses can be booked over the phone and paid via Debit/Credit card or Bank Transfer. Payment is required 72hrs after an invoice has been raised. If we do not receive the required payment we reserve the right to re-advertise your place to another student.
- Once funds arrive we will forward a paid (or renewed) invoice for your records, which will include the date your balance was paid (or is due by) and you will also be sent any training materials you may need prior to the course
Payment methods
- Online course can be paid for with Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, Apple Pay and Shop Pay
- Over the phone courses can be paid via Debit/Credit card or Bank Transfer
- Privacy Policy: Please note for your security we do not store any financial details and are fully PCI compliant. All personal information (Names, addresses, phone numbers etc) are filed and stored in-line with the Data Protection Act and is never shared.
To cancel your booking
- COOLING OFF PERIOD - In accordance with the 'Distance Selling Regulation 2000' you are entitled to a 14-day cooling off period which enables you to receive your full deposit or fee should you need to cancel your booking. Any cancellation within this period must be in writing and within 14 days of booking the course. If a booking is cancelled after the 14-day cooling off period or we do not receive written confirmation, all deposits will be lost as fees are non-refundable
- The cooling off period only applies if a course is booked and paid at least 30 days before the start of the course.
- Fees can be transferred to another course, as long as you have requested this in writing, at least 30 days before the start of the course. After this time, fees are not transferrable
- Fees can only be transferred once
- REFUNDS – if you cancel your place 30 days or more from the course start date, a 50% refund will be given
- If you cancel within 14 days or less of the course start date, no refund will be given
Withdrawing from a commenced course
- If you need to withdraw from a course for any reason once it has commenced you will NOT receive any refund.
Cancellation or amendments of training by us
- In the unlikely event that we need to defer training - this includes tutor illness, insufficient numbers or circumstances out of our control, we will offer you a place on the following scheduled training date/s. Fees may be transferable to another programme and in all circumstances we aim to re-schedule your course as soon as possible.
- Many of our courses are planned months in advance, and we strive to offer the training as scheduled - but occasional changes are necessary. Pinks Academy reserve the right to amend details of training within reason - including training times, venues and tutors. We are not liable for travel, accommodation, childcare or potential income loses.
Refunds
- In the event of exceptional circumstances, refunds may be considered on a case by case scenario at the discretion of the director.
What do course costs include?
- Course costs include all the necessary materials to ensure you receive excellence in training. Unless otherwise stated costs include: Course literature, materials, tuition fees, registration costs, assessment, marking, refreshments, snacks and a light lunch
- Course fees do NOT include: kit costs, equipment, products or travel/accommodation expenses.
Insurance
- It is your responsibility to check if your insurers will accept the pending qualification to your existing cover before booking a course. If this is your first qualification in therapies it is advisable to take out student cover from a reputable provider.
Certificates
- Certificates are awarded at the end of a programme or after case studies/assignments have been passed by the tutor. Students must have demonstrated the level of competence required to achieve certification.
Our Promise
- Any student who fails to meet the required standard after the completion of a course including assignments and case studies will be invited back to re-take the course at no additional cost.
Health and Safety
- Participants are required to inform Pinks Training Academy of any medical condition prior to booking the course. Some therapies are physically demanding; therefore, it is vital that your health and fitness is of an acceptable standard to perform therapies. By agreeing to these terms and conditions you are stating you are medically fit to perform and receive the therapy you have chosen to learn.
- If you have a Medical Condition which you think may prevent you from having a treatment please let us know prior to your course.
- On the majority of courses students work on each other to experience the treatment as this is crucial to understanding. Pregnancy - our insurance rules and policy are not to work on pregnant women in the first 12 weeks, if you are in these early stages please let the office know and they will discuss bringing a model with you. Please avoid bringing first trimester pregnant models for courses where these are required.
- DISCLAIMER - If your tutor deems it a health and safety risk for you to continue on a programme you will forfeit all course fees. If you are in doubt please contact us prior to enrolling onto any programme.
Course Times and Models
- Unless stated all courses run from 9am -5pm. Please arrive at 8.30am so we can start promptly. Participants who arrive more than 30 minutes after the course has started may not be allowed to join the class and will forfeit course fees.
- N.B. Please note The Pinks Training Academy is a private training provider and although classes do not run on bank holidays, they may be scheduled to run within school holidays so please check and plan before enrolling and committing to a course. We cannot be held responsible as is also highlighted in our terms and conditions which all candidates must read and agree to before enrolment.
- Models may be required depending on the course - you will be told this when you book.
Special Offers
- Pinks Academy periodically advertises courses at a reduced rate. Candidates who have already enrolled onto a course at the full rate cannot receive a discount or re-enrol
- Only one offer can be redeemed at a time.
